چکیده
Abstract The aim of this present work was to study the applicability waste marble dust (MD) in poly(lactic acid) (PLA)-based composites. Samples containing up 20 wt% MD were prepared via melt blending. attention focused on investigation mechanical, morphological, thermal properties and wear resistance PLA/MD Regarding mechanical properties, both tensile flexural modulus improved remarkably, however, a slight loss observed strength deformability. impact toughness showed an increasing tendency 10 loading, which followed by marginal decrease at higher concentration. With respect sliding rate, composite with highest content best resistance. According DSC measurements, hampered chain mobility PLA, thereby reducing crystalline ratio. Overall, composites developed, while reuse is expected reduce production costs as well.

15 صفحه اولEpoxidized vegetable oils plasticized poly(lactic acid) biocomposites: mechanical, thermal and morphology properties.
Plasticized poly(lactic acid) PLA with epoxidized vegetable oils (EVO) were prepared using a melt blending method to improve the ductility of PLA. The plasticization of the PLA with EVO lowers the Tg as well as cold-crystallization temperature. The tensile properties demonstrated that the addition of EVO to PLA led to an increase of elongation at break, but a decrease of tensile modulus. Plasti...

The paper is focusses on the study of the thermal and mechanical behaviour of reinforced agro-materials. Various formulations based on plasticized starch matrix have been carried out, varying matrix formulation, filler content, fibres length and nature. Cellulose and lignocellulose fibres, which show unequal surface tensions, have been tested. After extrusion and injection moulding, the propert...

متن کاملMechanical and Morphological Properties of Kenaf Cellulose/LDPE Biocomposites
The possibility of using cellulose from the cell walls of kenaf, an annual herbaceous crop, for the production of bicomposites was investigated in this study. The composites were prepared using LDPE, as a matrix, the extracted cellulose, as filler and PEG as a plasticizer. The characterization of biocomposites was then performed with optimized thermo-mechanical properties and propensity to envi...
